Salem's Old Town Hall is a federal style building, erected in 1816 and namesake of the Old Town Hall National Historic District. You may also recognize it as a location in the movie "Hocus Pocus".
Venue rules:
Vendor spaces are 4.5ft x 6ft wide.Vendors are responsible to bring their own tables, chairs and fixtures. Please make sure you've planned your setup according to your confirmed booth size.
Vendor displays and tables must stay within the allotted space - do not extend beyond your assigned space dimensions unless we’ve cleared you to do so. The spaces are tight, please be courteous of your neighbor.
Vendor spaces MUST be totally clean of trash, recycling, etc before leaving. THIS IS A CARRY IN, CARRY OUT situation. If you leave any trash behind you will not be invited back to our events.
Vendors may only have a total of 3 people (including themselves) working at their booth.
We will send out information with the load in times before each event.
There is a small access road (entrance is on Central St. where the parking lot for Red’s Sandwich shop is) that will bring you to Old Town Hall. You can pull right up to the building on the Derby Square side.
Parking is available in various garages around downtown. Please plan accordingly and check out parking locations to see what will work best for you. If you park at a metered street space you will need to move your car every 4 hours to avoid a ticket. Meters turn off at 6pm.
We cannot guarantee the usage of electricity or supplemental lighting to vendors, please plan accordingly. Use of extension cords and gaff tape are not permitted. Vendors should plan to bring their own battery packs if they need power and battery operated lighting if needed.
Old Town Hall does have WiFi access for vendors. Info will be given the day of the event.
To be a seller in the state of MA (even if you don't live here) you need to apply for a MA seller's permit. You can apply for it here. Vendors must be in compliance with State & Federal tax laws.
All vendors agree to allow the market organizers to promote the event and vendor attendees via use of photos and content from the vendor’s website and social media use only.
The organizers are not responsible for any damage or theft of personal belongings or merchandise, or loss of any product.
Vendors are recommended to have their own general liability insurance. The producer, vendor, vendor employee is solely responsible for damages resulting from the sale of unsafe or unsound goods, in addition to any accidents that occurred while at the event. Vendors agree to indemnify and hold harmless Witch City Wicks, the City of Salem its affiliates, employees, agents from any and all liability, loss or damages which may be incurred as a result of all claims, demands, costs, judgments or expenses, including attorney’s fees, arising from the producer’s participation in the Midnight Moon Market.
Show fees are non-refundable unless the show is cancelled, or in the event of proven vendor illness.
In order to ensure the quality and enjoyment of the market and to promote a safe and positive atmosphere, all vendors involved with the market shall abide by the following Code of Conduct.
Please report any activity that is deemed inappropriate to our organizers or venue staff. Any violation of the Code of Conduct by a vendor will result in the immediate removal from the markets without refund.
